I advise our clients on assignments related to domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions. I graduated with a Master of Laws from the University of Helsinki in 2019.

Prior to my graduation, I worked as a Senior Trainee at Castrén & Snellman and joined the firm again after my graduation. During my studies, I also worked for other major Finnish law firms, state administration and the European Commission. I also have experience from the banking and insurance sector.

As part of my master’s studies, I spent one academic year at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München in Germany, where I focused on corporate and procedural law and gained valuable insight into the German legal system.

We advised Lantmännen ek för in its contemplated acquisition of Leipurin from Aspo Plc. Lantmännen is an agricultural cooperative and Northern Europe’s leader in agriculture, machinery, bioenergy and food products. Lantmännen is owned by 17,000 Swedish farmers and has 12,000 employees in over 20 countries. Leipurin is a leading Nordic supplier of bakery ingredients, equipment, and expert services to professional bakeries, confectioneries, and food manufacturers. The company operates across Finland, Sweden, and the Baltic countries with subsidiaries located in the aforementioned countries, providing comprehensive solutions to the baking industry. The closing of the transaction remains subject to regulatory approvals.

City of Pori – Sale of 49% stake in Pori Energia to Polhem Infra
Castrén & Snellman is acting as the legal advisor to the City of Pori in its sale of a 49% stake in Pori Energia to Polhem Infra. Pori Energia, a multi-utility company, operates in various sectors including district heating, electricity distribution, and electricity generation through CHP and renewable sources. The company also provides wind power services and industrial energy solutions in the Satakunta region. This strategic partnership between the City of Pori and Polhem Infra aims to enhance Pori Energia’s financial stability and investment capabilities, enabling the company to further its efforts in the energy transition and continue delivering high-quality energy services to its customers. Polhem Infra, owned by Swedish state pension funds, focuses on investments in critical infrastructure, including renewable electricity generation, energy storage, energy distribution, digital infrastructure, and transport infrastructure. The transaction values Pori Energia at EUR 905 million.

VR-Group – Sale of road logistics business to investment company Mutares
We acted as legal advisor to VR-Group Plc in their strategic decision to sell their road logistics business to the investment company Mutares. This transaction supports VR’s focus on rail transport in freight traffic. The road logistics business, which generated a revenue of approximately EUR 80 million in 2023, will be transferred to a newly established company under Mutares. The business unit employs around 75 people who will transition to the new company.

Pernod Ricard – Sale of local Nordic beverage brands to Hartwall
We acted as Finnish counsel to Pernod Ricard in the sale of a portfolio of local Nordic brands to Oy Hartwall Ab, an affiliate of the Danish group Royal Unibrew. Pernod Ricard is a worldwide leader in the spirits and wine industry. The local portfolio of brands includes spirits, liqueurs and Finnish wine brands, the best-known being the liqueur Minttu, along with their related production assets based in Turku, Finland.

Prevas Aktiebolag – Acquisition of majority of NMAC Group shares
We are acting as Finnish legal advisor to Prevas Aktiebolag in its acquisition of approximately 92 percent of the shares in NMAC Group Oy (‘Enmac’). This acquisition marks Prevas’ entry into the Finnish market and is aligned with its growth strategy, enabling future market synergies. Swedish Advokatfirman Lindahl KB is acting as lead legal counsel to Prevas Aktiebolag in this deal. Enmac was founded in 1983 and is a prominent player in the Finnish market offering advanced services in production process development, including advanced technical calculations, industrial automation, product development, as well as process and piping design. With approximately 200 employees and 8 locations in Finland, Enmac achieved a turnover of MEUR 23 in 2023. The transaction is subject to approval from the Finnish Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment.

We advised A. Ahlström Corporation in its acquisition of the majority of Metsäkonepalvelu Oy.  This acquisition further strengthens A. Ahlström’s strategic core sector built around forest and fibre companies. A. Ahlström is a family-owned investment company with core investments in the forest and fibre segment. Metsäkonepalvelu offers mechanical timber harvesting services in Finland and Sweden and is a Nordic market leader. The Company’s customers include large companies in the forestry industry, large private forest owners and the public sector.

We advised Cowater International (Canada) in its acquisition of FCG Finnish Consulting Group’s international development consultancy business with operational offices in Sweden, Germany, Kenya, New Zealand and Singapore. Cowater International is a leading global development consulting company headquartered in Ottawa, Canada.

We advised Sodexo in connection with the sale of its minority shareholding in Epassi Group Oy, alongside the majority shareholder Bregal Milestone and other minority shareholders, to TA Associates and Warburg Pincus. Epassi is a market leader in the provision of employee benefits within the Nordics, the UK and Italy. The unique solution combines all benefits under one mobile application allowing the employees to easily access their employee benefits. Epassi has over 13 million users. Sodexo is a French food services and facilities management company. Sodexo Benefits & Reward Services, recently rebranded as Pluxee, offers employee and health related services and benefits within the meal & food segment to help employers attract, retain, and motivate talents.
