I have a Master of Laws degree from the University of Helsinki. In addition, I have spent a semester studying law at KU Leuven in Belgium.

Prior to my graduation, I worked as a trainee at several leading Finnish law firms and at the Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority.

We are acting as the joint legal advisor to Oomi Oy and Lumme Energia Oy in a transaction whereby Lumme Energia will merge with Oomi. As from the completion of the merger, the combined entity will be the largest electricity retail and service company in the Finnish market. In 2024, Oomi reported a turnover of EUR 373.9 million and had approximately 110 employees. Lumme Energia’s turnover for the same year was approximately EUR 314.6 million and it had approximately 50 employees. The transaction is primarily driven by the recent developments in the electricity market and the strategic goal to develop competitive products and services. Another key objective is to further enhance the customer experience, which is a shared value between the two companies. As a result of the merger, Lumme Energia’s customers will transfer to Oomi, and Lumme Energia will become one of Oomi’s shareholders. The completion of the transaction is subject to an approval by the Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority.

We are acting as the legal advisor to WithSecure Corporation in Diana BidCo Oy’s voluntary public cash tender offer for all the issued and outstanding shares in WithSecure. The tender offer values WithSecure’s total equity at approximately EUR 299 million. Diana BidCo is a private limited company incorporated and existing under the laws of Finland that will be indirectly owned by a consortium formed for purposes of the tender offer by certain affiliated funds of CVC Capital Partners Plc and Risto Siilasmaa. The consortium believes that the partnership strengthens and accelerates the road to WithSecure’s long-standing goal of becoming Europe’s most trusted cybersecurity partner by positioning the company to lead the next era of business cybersecurity. WithSecure’s shares are listed on the official list of Nasdaq Helsinki. WithSecure is a Europe-based cybersecurity company that helps protect businesses and is committed to strong partnerships with customers and collaborators. WithSecure’s customers trust WithSecure with outcome-based cybersecurity that protects and enables their operations. The completion of the tender offer is subject to the satisfaction or waiver by the offeror of certain customary conditions on or prior to the offeror’s announcement of the final results of the tender offer. The tender offer is currently expected to be completed during the fourth quarter of 2025. The Takeover Board of the Securities Markets Association issued on 4 August 2025 a new recommendation (1/2025) on good securities market practice that deals with the target company’s board of directors’ obligations in case of a consortium offer in which a major shareholder of the company participates in the consortium.

We advised Pihlajalinna Plc on an arrangement whereby Pihlajalinna Terveys Oy and Ikipihlaja Setälänpiha Oy sold their special housing services business to Esperi Care Oy.  The transaction involved three Pihlajalinna Uniikki units in Hämeenlinna, Lohja and Riihimäki as well as Ikipihlaja Oiva in Raisio. As a result of the arrangement, more than 100 employees transferred to Esperi. Pihlajalinna is one of Finland’s leading private providers of social and healthcare services, offering a wide range of services to both private and public sector clients. Pihlajalinna has more than 160 locations across Finland.

We are advising Oomi Oy in a business transaction whereby KSS Energia Oy’s consumer and business customers in the retail sale of electricity will be transferred to Oomi. The transfer is scheduled to take place in March 2025. The arrangement requires approval from the Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority. Oomi Oy is one of the largest energy service companies and electricity sellers in Finland. The arrangement is a result of the recent development of the electricity market and Oomi’s strategy, which aims to offer customers a seamless and improved digital customer experience.

We advised Impinj, Inc. (NASDAQ: PI) in its acquisition of Voyantic Oy, a global provider of RFID (primarily RAIN and NFC) inlay and label design, manufacturing and test systems. Impinj designs and sells a platform based on RAIN RFID technology that enables wireless item-to-cloud connectivity and with which it and its partners innovate Internet of Things solutions globally. Impinj is headquartered in Seattle, Washington, USA.

We advised Uponor Infra Oy in the sale of its district energy business to ISOPLUS Suomi Oy, part of ISOPLUS Group, a leading manufacturer of district heating pipes in Europe. Uponor’s district energy business had a net sales level of approximately EUR 40 million in 2022, and it included operations in Finland, Sweden, Estonia and Norway. The divestment is in line with Uponor Infra’s strategy that focuses on growing its core business. Uponor is a leading global provider of solutions that efficiently and effectively move water through cities, buildings, and homes. Uponor helps customers in residential and commercial construction, municipalities, and utilities to be more productive. Uponor’s solutions are sold in more than 80 countries, and the company employs about 4,000 professionals in 26 countries in Europe and North America. In 2022, the company’s net sales totalled approximately EUR 1.4 billion. Uponor Corporation is listed on Nasdaq Helsinki.

Castrén & Snellman and Danish law firm Plesner are advising Ahlström Capital and its portfolio company Enics Group in the contemplated merger between Enics Group and GPV International A/S, wholly owned by the public listed company Schouw & Co A/S.  The transaction values the combined business at more than DKK 4 billion. The merger will create Europe’s second-largest EMS (electronics manufacturing services) company with production facilities across worldwide and with more than 7,500 employees globally. Schouw & Co A/S will hold 80% of the shares in the merged entity and Ahlström Capital will hold the remaining 20% of the shares. The completion of the acquisition is subject to customary approvals, including from competition authorities in certain jurisdictions. Schouw & Co. is a Danish industrial conglomerate listed on Nasdaq Copenhagen. Ahlström Capital is a family-owned investment company.

We advised international building materials distributor and DIY retailer Grafton Group plc in its acquisition of Finnish Isojoen Konehalli Oy and Jokapaikka Oy (IKH). IKH is one of the largest workwear and personal protective equipment, tools, spare parts and accessories technical wholesalers and distributors in Finland.
