Private wealth and tax expert Emmi Karvinen promoted to Counsel

We are the forerunners in demanding legal services and help our clients build sustainable success stories. To acknowledge her versatile expertise and dedicated work towards our clients’ success, we promote Senior Associate Emmi Karvinen to counsel as of 1 April 2025. Emmi is an experienced tax specialist who has been responsible for our Private Wealth & Family Office service since 2023.

Emmi is especially invested in tax matters of family-owned companies, their owner-entrepreneurs and high net worth individuals, from predictive wealth management measures to the implementation of generational change as well as assistance in possible tax litigation matters. Emmi also has extensive experience in assisting clients with tax appeals.

‘Tax predictability has suffered recently as the tax authority has shifted its focus from ex ante guidance to retrospective control. For our clients, this has meant increased uncertainty and a greater emphasis on risk management. I am honoured to be solving these problems as a trusted advisor to family entrepreneurs and businesses, as well as high net worth individuals,’ says Emmi.

The ever-changing regulatory field causes challenges in planning the future of family-owned businesses. Emmi supports the companies and their owners in this as efficiently as possible whilst ensuring that the solution chosen is adaptive enough, for example in case of succession of family businesses or corporate restructuring. She also assists our clients in matters related to the wealth of owner-entrepreneurs and its management, in family and inheritance law as well as tax matters related thereto.

We warmly wish Emmi the best of luck in her new role!
