Castrén & Snellman has again been ranked among Finland’s best tax law firms in the latest annual International Tax Review’s World Tax guide. 

Our Tax & Structuring team was ranked Tier 1 in Tax controversy, Tier 2 in Transactional tax, General corporate tax and Indirect tax, and Tier 3 in Transfer pricing.

In addition, four of our tax experts received individual rankings. Castrén & Snellman wins Finland Tax Disputes Firm of the Year

Earlier this fall, Castrén & Snellman was awarded the title of Finland Tax Disputes Firm of the Year at the International Tax Review Awards 2025. Tax partners Mikko Alakare and Janne Juusela were in London on 18 September to receive the award on behalf of our firm.

The annual ITR Awards recognize the most innovative and challenging tax work from the past year. The ITR awards are presented to in-house, firms, individual private practitioners, and corporations behind the most innovative and challenging tax work from the past year, as well as those driving the international market.

We advised an international bank syndicate in a EUR 300 million revolving credit facility (RCF) for ICEYE, the world leader in sovereign intelligence from space. The bank-syndicate comprised Nordic and global banks, with Citi and Danske Bank acting as Joint Global Coordinators and Mandated Lead Arrangers. The RCF will support the issuance of guarantees for customer contracts, enable continued business growth, and serve as a liquidity backstop.

We are advising Terrieri Kiinteistöt Ky and A. Ahlström Kiinteistöt Oy in the sale of a modern production and logistics building complex to Swedish property investment company Catena AB. We are also assisting S-Bank Building Plot non-UCITS Fund which in connection with the transaction, has agreed to sell the land area where the building complex is located to Catena AB. The building complex located in the immediate vicinity of Helsinki-Vantaa Airport was completed in 2021 and comprises approximately 23,260 square metres of leasable area, fully leased to Cramo Finland Oy. The approximately 140,000-square-metre plot offers additional long-term development potential in the form of approximately 45,000 square metres of additional building rights.

We advised Kiwa in its acquisition of Sertio Oy, a Finnish notified body designated by the authority in accordance with the EU Regulation on in vitro diagnostic medical devices (IVDR). Sertio provides conformity assessment services in accordance with IVDR. Kiwa is one of the world’s leading testing, inspection, and certification companies, operating in over 35 countries.
