“The book brings together up-to-date answers to the marketing law questions that repeatedly arise in practice. Environmental and sustainability marketing, in particular, was in need of a comprehensive overview, and the evolving EU regulation made this theme even more topical. The aim was also to create a coherent framework from the scattered regulation affecting marketing and its transparency,” explains Hilma-Karoliina.
Over the course of a three-year writing process, the project took shape as a comprehensive study on marketing law and digital consumer protection. It takes into account recent regulatory developments in the field, such as changes to price reduction announcements and the stricter disclosure requirements for online and distance selling. Some of the latest developments in modern marketing include the use of artificial intelligence and the recent AI Act, which are also discussed in the book.
The book is available to buy, for example, from the Alma Insights online store.
