We advised Häggblom & Partners Oy, a financial advisory firm, when it assisted the principal owners of Forestum Group AB in the sale of their shares to Svenska Cellulosa Aktiebolaget (SCA). Listed on Nasdaq Stockholm, SCA is Europe’s largest private forest owner. The acquisition strengthens its operations in the Baltic region.
Forestum Group AB is a Swedish company that owns, through its Estonian subsidiary, land and forest assets in Estonia, totalling approximately 10,300 hectares. The purchase price for the entire company was EUR 39 million on a debt-free basis. The principal owners held 93% of Forestum Group’s stock.
