We advised Finnish Industry Investment (Tesi) in their 2018 investment in a Finnish health tech company, Oura Health Ltd. With the funding round, Oura increased their private funding to EUR 12.5 million. The round was also participated in by Bold Capital Partners.
Oura Health is a Finnish health technology company founded in 2013. Its first smart wellness ring was launched in 2015, and the new Oura ring was revealed at Slush in November 2017. Oura has users in over 70 countries. Several top universities, research organisations, sleep clinics, and companies utilise the data and insights Oura provides. In 2018, Oura Health was elected as one of Finland’s most promising start-ups by Talouselämä, a Finnish business newspaper. Oura has received several awards, such as the Red Dot Award for Product Design in 2018.
Industry Investment is a Finnish state-owned investment company that has a mission to develop Finland’s venture capital and private equity market in a commercially profitable manner as well as to promote Finnish business and Finland’s economic growth. It had investments under management of €1.2 billion at the end of 2017.
