About me
I continuously assist clients in various tax-related questions, and I also advise in legal questions involving private equity fund structures.
Understanding the tax issues associated with private equity funds and M&A transactions is often one of the key elements in providing added value to clients when they are striving to make best possible use of their investments. Facing these challenges in practice for the past few years has also led me to expand my academic competence towards working on a Licentiate of Laws degree at the University of Helsinki with a particular focus on domestic and international tax issues related to private equity fund formation.
My work experience consists of several years spent in another major Finnish law firm, where I also concentrated on taxation and private equity fund formation. In addition, I have worked for a Big Four audit firm, where I specialised in M&A taxation. I have also completed a one-year secondment as an in-house lawyer in a major Finnish private equity firm.
Besides my law studies at the University of Helsinki, I also hold a master’s degree from Aalto University School of Economics, majoring in finance.
Despite my strong academic background, I am a business-oriented lawyer and focus on achieving my clients’ concrete targets. From my point of view, the aim of a successful lawyer is to provide a solution to the client’s problem that is not only technically solid, but also works in practice.
