As the Chief Information Officer, I am responsible for ensuring that the ICT environment of Castrén & Snellman supports its business needs and enables efficient working by means of modern equipment. Due to the nature of the business, our ICT environment must be available 24 hours a day, every day of the year and downtime must be kept to a minimum. In addition to the ICT operations, I lead our firm’s internal project management office which directs our key development projects. I am also a member of the firm’s Management Group. As a member, I participate in the operative management and development of the firm.
As for many others working with ICT, I found the spark in this job through my computer hobby. After I graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, I started working as an ICT specialist. I worked as an ICT specialist for a couple of years, after which I continued my career by carrying out different kinds of international projects which varied from introducing ERP to modelling sales processes, developing a client relations management system and transferring server loads to cloud services. In addition, I was responsible for infrastructure operations in an international company for several years. During my whole career, I have been particularly interested in the turning point in business enabled by IT and in making work more efficient by means of information technology. When Castrén & Snellman offered me the opportunity to work with these issues supported by a team of top professionals, I gladly accepted the challenge.
