Senior Associate, Member of the Finnish Bar, LL.M.
I advise both foreign and domestic clients in various matters relating, in particular, to real estate and environmental law and energy. In the field of environmental law, I have been involved, among other things, in several complex soil contamination liability matters and M&A transactions in which real estate and environmental law related questions have played a significant role.
I work extensively on matters relating to energy, especially wind power and other energy sector transactions and regulatory issues. I have also always been interested in environmental and energy law related legislative work and research, which led me to co-author a background report on the drafting of the Finnish Climate Change Act. I´m also currently co-authoring a chapter on Finnish law for an EU Energy Law related book project.
In addition to my Finnish law degree, I completed an LL.M. degree specialised in Energy and Natural Resources Law at Queen Mary University of London in 2015. That degree, and the year I spent in London, significantly enhanced my understanding of energy and natural resources law, policy and business from an international perspective.
