We acted as counsel to Svenska folkskolans vänner rf in a transaction in which it sold its majority stake in Atena Kustannus Oy to Otava Publishing Company.
Atena Kustannus is a general publisher that publishes around 50 fiction and non-fiction titles a year. The company will continue its operations under its own name and with its own publication schedule and existing personnel. The company’s office will remain in Jyväskylä.
Otava publishes fiction, non-fiction and teaching materials and is the largest publishing house in Finland.
