We acted as SSA Group Oy’s legal counsel in a EUR 20 million project financing arrangement with a Nordic senior lender. The financing solution secures the construction phase financing for the SSA Base Helsinki hotel project and ensures that the construction work will be completed regardless of the development of sales.
The SSA Base Helsinki hotel will be completed in 2020 and will feature 440 high-quality rooms. The hotel’s concept is unique, as the building can be used not only as a traditional hotel, but will also serve the developing office hotel market.
The hotel is located on one of Helsinki’s main thoroughfares. Construction is well under way and proceeding on schedule. A total of 250 Base rooms have already been reserved, and 230 binding sales have been made.
