We acted as the legal advisor to LänsiAuto Oy in a transaction in which LänsiAuto became Opel group’s wholesale importer in Finland and the Baltics (Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania) by acquiring Opel group’s Finnish sales company Opel Finland Oy and the Baltic Opel import business which was transferred to Opel Finland Oy in connection with the transaction. The transaction was approved by the Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority on 22 October 2018. The name of Opel Finland Oy has been changed to LänsiAuto Drive Oy.
LänsiAuto is a growing and developing automotive group that offers car sales, repair, leasing and rental services. The group’s business has grown strongly in recent years: in 2019 its net sales will exceed EUR 400 million. LänsiAuto imports Opel to Finland and the Baltics and is the Finnish franchising partner of the world’s largest car rental company.
