Metsä Board Corporation – Voluntary Tender Offer of Outstanding EUR 225 Million Bond and New EUR 250 Million Bond Issue

We advised Metsä Board Corporation as well as the Dealer Managers Danske Bank A/S and Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AB (publ) in Metsä Board’s voluntary tender offer of its EUR 225 million bond issued in 2014. The tender offer was successfully completed with an uptake of approximately EUR 157.7 million. We simultaneously acted as sole legal counsel to Metsä Board and the Joint Lead Managers Danske Bank A/S and Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AB (publ) in a new EUR 250 million bond issue. The maturity of the new bond is 10 years, which is among the longest listed bonds governed by Finnish law since the 1990s.
