Castrén & Snellman Supporting Uusimaa District of the Mannerheim League for Child Welfare with Legal Advice

As the year ends, we are happy to announce a new partnership: we are providing pro bono legal advice to the Uusimaa District of the Mannerheim League for Child Welfare.

‘The Mannerheim League for Child Welfare and its Uusimaa District do extremely valuable work for the benefit of children and their families. Our support will enable the organisation to focus its precious resources on its core mission’, said partners Tomi Kemppainen and Outi Tähtinen.

‘This is a wonderful new opportunity for us. Previously, we faced often complex legal issues quite alone, but now we have access to quick and direct help from Castrén & Snellman’, said Pia Metsähuone, executive director of the Uusimaa District.

The Uusimaa District of the Mannerheim League for Child Welfare is the independent regional organisation for the Uusimaa region in southern Finland. It encompasses 94 local associations with a total of 21,000 individual members. The organisation offers a wide range of day-to-day support to families with children and meaningful volunteer work for people of all ages. Its services include short-term child care, support persons for families, communal grand parenting, friend for an immigrant mum activities and crosswalk monitoring at the start of the school year.
