Since I started at Castrén & Snellman in 2014, I have been working in our Banking & Finance team on a range of different finance projects including real estate financing, project financing, refinancing and other financing cases. I enjoy representing both the lender and the borrower side.
What fascinates me in my field of expertise is that it constantly gives me opportunities to grow and learn through each project and each client. Banking and finance law emphasises the importance of learning by doing and, conveniently, I am a doer kind of person.
I believe that a lawyer can be professional and perform excellently in her work without being too formal or serious. I strive to co-operate with my clients, colleagues and counterparties in a good spirit in order to find the best solution for everybody. My goal is to complete each project in an efficient and enjoyable way while keeping unnecessary stress and hustle away. I have found that taking a positive attitude towards every new challenge I receive (at work and in life in general) gives a good flow to my work days and makes me a pleasant person to work with. I'm also genuinely interested in people and always curious to know more about the personalities behind the emails and conference calls.
I would not do what I do if I didn’t enjoy it and have a passion for it – life is too short to waste on something other than that.
