Associate, Master of Laws
I joined Castrén & Snellman in 2012. My work in the firm focuses primarily on general company law matters, including corporate governance issues, M&A transactions and joint ventures. Merger control issues are also in the sphere of my practice; I review clients' contemplated transactions to identify and advise upon any issues which may arise in obtaining the necessary antimonopoly approval in Russia and I also arrange, as needed, our clients' receipt of prior approval from the Federal Antimonopoly Service.
Additionally, I advise on key regulatory issues, as well as general commercial law matters, and I take part in legal due diligence being conducted by our office. As Russian legislation continues to change, I help our clients keep up to date and I provide the most efficient legal solutions targeted to help their business to succeed in the rapidly changing Russian legal environment.
My experience allows me to open the Russian legal system for non-Russian clients and I really enjoy providing clients with high-value legal services that utilise the new capabilities of the reformed Russian corporate and civil law; for example, we have taken this approach, instead of engaging overseas corporate structures, whenever it has provided added value for our clients' goals. In my role as an associate, I try to contribute to our clients' business success by, together with the guidance of our experienced partners, providing tailor-made legal solutions that take into account differences between the Nordic and Russian ways of doing business.
