Many new lawyers who join us have already decided what area they want to pursue and can do so from day one—others want to try out a number of different fields in order to find what areas of expertise most interest them. A Clear Career Path
At the start of their careers, our young lawyers work as associates. Many of our associates have participated in our trainee programs before they graduated, and so have some practical experience of working in a law firm.
After a few years of work, the lawyers in our Helsinki office take the bar exam to become members of the Finnish Bar Association. The next career step is taking on the responsibilities of a Senior Associate, which include project management and client relationship management duties. Additional responsibilities can be given to those who show they can handle them.
After the Senior Associate level, our lawyers’ careers take their own paths. We have many experienced lawyers working in our firm under the titles of Counsel and Senior Counsel. Partnership is also an option for some of our experienced lawyers. Our current partners meet regularly to choose new partners.
