Natural Resources
Finland’s natural resource legislation focuses on the mining sector, soil and gravel extraction and the forestry sector. We have handled mining projects starting from the very beginning of the prospecting stage through project financing and, once operations are under way, listing. We are currently assisting our clients with adjusting their operations to confirm with our new mining act that entered into force 1 July 2011 .
The sustainable use of resources has become an integral part of project development for our clients in the soil and gravel extraction and the forestry industries. We have a successful track record of navigating our clients through the often complex regulatory issues surrounding land use planning, nature protection, habitat protection for listed species and expropriation.
