If you see a twenty-something person dashing down the halls of our office with a box in hand, it's probably one or our junior trainees. If you are a law student in the early stages of your studies, we would like to offer you the opportunity to get to know the day-to-day routines of our firm. Our junior trainees assist our lawyers and support groups in a wide variety of tasks—and usually save the day with their timely help.
As a junior trainee your work will be fast-paced and vary from day to day, and you’ll benefit from the ability to adapt quickly. Your day could start off couriering documents to authorities. The day might then continue by rushing the firm’s mail to the post office and then printing out and binding a book’s worth of documentation. You may also be asked to man the front desk or help our caterers set up a conference room for an important meeting. In addition to having the adaptability of a chameleon, you are well suited to work as a junior trainee if you are a good team player with a service-minded, positive attitude and a good sense of humour.
Junior trainees work part time during the academic year, usually 2 days a week. During the summer, the work is full time.
