Jussi Laasonen specialises in maritime, transport, and insurance law and dispute resolution. He is a widely recognized expert on non-life insurance, especially liability insurance, as well as product liability, professional indemnity, and other liability matters. Before joining Castrén & Snellman, Mr Laasonen worked for 13 years in Finland’s second largest insurance company, Pohjola Non-Life Insurance Ltd, as legal counsel, claims manager, and head of corporate claims. He has also been a member of the Finnish Insurance Complaints Board. Mr Laasonen is also a frequent lecturer on liability-related matters.
