CRM Assistant Niina Romppainen’s daily routine changed completely in the autumn of 2007 when she moved back to Helsinki after living in London for thirteen years. Niina had spent the previous five years working at an international investment bank, where her job was interesting, but hectic.
'In a big company with thousands of employees, you don’t recognise the people you meet in the hallway. Fortunately at Castrén & Snellman, it’s just the opposite', Niina says.
At Castrén & Snellman, Niina’s work includes organising different kinds of client events and maintaining client information. The year 2008 was particularly busy in the client relationship management group due to the firm’s 120th anniversary celebrations. Niina and her supervisor were to a great extent responsible for arranging a trip to Riga for the staff, a golf tournament for the firm’s clients, and the firm’s reception, which was held in connection with the International Bar Association conference in Argentina in October.
The CRM team works closely with the firm’s lawyers and support groups.
'Everyone here is an expert in their own field, and everyone’s input is needed. It’s important that the lawyers and the support groups work together, because otherwise, the firm as a whole wouldn’t function well.'
Niina is happy with her work at Castrén & Snellman. What she likes best are interesting assignments and friendly colleagues.
'Our firm also arranges fun events for the staff, which make it easy to get to know people better. For example, a jogging course was arranged last autumn, which culminated with us taking part in a 10-kilometer jogging event for women. Unwinding with the girls afterwards was the perfect end to a great shared experience.'
