We acted as local counsel for Ferguson plc in the sale of Stark Group to US private equity firm Lone Star in a deal worth over EUR 1 billion.
Stark Group is the largest retailer and distributor of building materials in the Nordic region and it operates through the brands STARK in Finland and Denmark, Neumann in Norway and Beijer in Sweden.
Stark Group is being sold as part of Ferguson’s strategy to phase out its Nordic activities. The transaction is conditional on the receipt of merger clearance from the relevant competition authorities.
