International Association of Privacy Professionals Appoints Eija Warma Country Leader for Scandinavia

The International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) has appointed Partner Eija Warma as a country leader for Scandinavia. IAPP is the largest and most comprehensive global information privacy community and resource with over 20,000 members.

The privacy profession is quickly growing all around the world. In an effort to connect the profession in countries around the world and in keeping with its mission to define, support and improve the privacy profession globally, IAPP has expanded its international leadership team to include Country Leaders in various countries.

‘Over the past year, we have identified several key markets bringing on leaders in countries across Europe and Asia. Scandinavia has shown tremendous engagement with the IAPP’s products and member services. We are thrilled to have Eija Warma on board as our Country Leader for Scandinavia. Eija, along with her Country Leader colleagues, serves as a local resource for IAPP members in Scandinavia as well as a resource to the IAPP helping to counsel us on how best to support the profession in the region’, IAPP’s Whitney Fleming says.

Eija Warma heads Castrén & Snellman’s Data Protection & Privacy service. She has over a decade of experience advising clients in, e.g. GDPR-related work, complex processes with the local data protection authority, data breach incidents as well as outsourcing and cross-border data transfer arrangements. Eija is recognised as one of the leading data protection experts as well as one of the top 100 technology influencers in Finland.
