Castrén & Snellman is still the most popular law firm employer among Finnish law students according to the results of the Universum Student Survey published on 28 April 2010. At total of about 8,000 Finnish students participated in the survey, including about 500 law students. Our firm placed third in the survey overall, and was the only law firm to make the top three employers. The top slots were held by the same employers as last year: the most popular employer in the survey was the Ministry of Justice, and the courts were the second most popular.
Castrén & Snellman’s Managing Director Jukka Niemi is very happy with the recognition, ‘It is a pleasure and honour to be picked as the most desirable law firm employer a second time. We employ about 60 trainees a year. These students are an important part of our firm, and many of them continue as members of our team after being trainees. Out firm is known not only for high quality and expertise, but also for our positive and straightforward atmosphere. We have all committed to our firm’s values of nurturing our positive atmosphere and respecting one another. The results of this survey prove that we have continued to succeed on this front.’
This was the fourteenth time the Universum Student Survey was carried out in Finland by Universum, a consultancy firm specialised in employer branding, and the third time that law students’ preferred employers were charted in the survey. The other fields in the survey were business, technology and IT.
