The legal services industry has traditionally been a predominantly male field. At the end of 2010, seventy-four per cent of the members of the Finnish Bar Association were men. The number of women in the field is growing all the time, however, and more women than men currently graduate from Finland’s law faculties. Almost fifty per cent of our lawyers are women, and women form the majority in our support groups.
